As an artist, Yoko Hashimoto wished for the revival of indigo and opened Seiran Kobo in 1971, producing many works using the indigo wax-dyeing method.
In 2019, Awa Ai was recognized as a Japanese Heritage, and we aim to promote indigo dyeing culture and develop sales channels for indigo-dyed works.
