BARNABÉ RICHARD

BARNABÉ RICHARD

CABINETMAKER – CREATOR
Saint Rémy-Les-Chevreuse, Yvelines, Ile-De-France

Barnabé Richard is a young cabinetmaker and creator. He studied, in particular, surface finishing and decor at the École Boulle in 2013. He associates his traditional know-how with state of the art technologies and in the strictest respect for the environment. Making use of wood “from eco-responsibly managed forests” and of metal and composite materials, he designs clear-lined furniture pieces such as the tables, seats and desks from his Genèse Unlimited 1.1 collection. He also takes care to reuse scrap “to produce small objects”.
In 2014-2015, he was awarded the Prix du Travail Manuel (Prize for Manual Work) which rewards remarkable work in both its design and its production.
