Presented by ICOMOS France Villa E-1027 is an emblematic building located in Roquebrune-Cap Martin and designed by Eileen Gray and Jean Badovici. The villa has benefited from painstaking restoration by Pierre-Antoine Gatier, chief architect for Historic Monuments. The architect’s aim was to “restore and preserve”, placing priority on the safeguarding of original features and particular attention to preserving original construction and development techniques and the work’s experimental dimension.
